Supernatural Threat Containment: ARCANE is tasked with identifying, researching, and containing supernatural entities and anomalies. From mysterious artifacts to dangerous beings, ARCANE's mission is to neutralize any supernatural threat to Denebol and its allies.

Research and Developement: ARCANE conducts cutting-edge research into mystical phenomena, Terrigen Crystals, and other anomalous materials. The organization collaborates with scientists, sorcerers, and scholars to unlock the secrets of extra-dimensional forces and develop technology to harness or neutralize them.

Containment of Mystical Entities: ARCANE establishes and manages containment facilities for housing dangerous supernatural beings and mystical artifacts. Their state-of-the-art containment units ensure that any dangerous entity or object is kept secure.

Interdimensional Defense: ARCANE is responsible for defending Denebol from interdimensional threats, utilizing its knowledge of supernatural forces to fortify the Republic's defenses. They work in tandem with STARS and SHIELD to ensure the safety of the galaxy from extra-dimensional invaders.

Magical and Paranormal Regulation: Through the absorption of the WAND division, ARCANE now oversees the regulation and ethical use of wizardry, alchemy, necromancy, and other magical practices. They ensure these practices are used responsibly and do not pose a threat to the public.

Recent history:

ARCANE was formed after the Denebolian government recognized the growing need for a specialized agency to manage the increasingly complex and dangerous supernatural phenomena emerging across the galaxy. Initially, Terrigen Experimental Research - Augmentation (TERA) was tasked with studying Terrigen Crystals. However, as new supernatural powers and entities were discovered, TERA's role evolved, ultimately becoming ARCANE.

This reorganization also saw the merging of WAND (Wizardry, Alchemy, and Necromancy Division), originally part of SHIELD, into the new ARCANE structure. With ARCANE's expanded authority, the organization now leads Denebol's supernatural defense, combining scientific research with ancient knowledge of magical forces.

About A.R.C.A.N.E.:

ARCANE personnel are trained at the ARCANE Academy, located in a secure facility on Tuatha Dé Danann's Homeworld - Otherworld. There, recruits are taught the art of magical regulation, anomaly research, and containment protocols. Specialized training quarters provide both combat training for dealing with magical entities and laboratory settings for hands-on research into magical artifacts and anomalous forces.

After six years of training, recruits are assigned to ARCANE operations. Elite officers can go through additional years of training, focusing on more dangerous threats and attaining higher ranks. The highest academic rank in ARCANE is Specialist or Senior Scientist, depending on the discipline pursued.

ARCANE's headquarters is currently located in SHIELD Triskelion in Denebol Prime, though plans are underway to construct specialized containment facilities  solely for ARCANE purposes. The organization is overseen by Director James Strange, who reports directly to the Denebolian President.

ARCANE operatives are sometimes assigned as advisors to missions from other military branches, smiliary like it is with SHIELD agents. But more common it is for ARCANE operatives to work in their home organization units.

These units are deployed in case of need for containment or interaction with supernatural and other creatures or individuals. ARCANE agents are rapid response units of specialized operatives, which have full operational control and authority over all supernatural or enhanced assets at denebolian disposal.
