History of Denebolian republic

Project ARC and Early History (1952 - OG Timeline)

During the Second World War on Earth, three mysterious Monoliths were discovered and transported to a secret SSR base called "Lighthouse." Scientists found that one Monolith could transport matter through space, due to failed experiments, the project called ARC (Anomaly Research and Control) has been stopped and classified. Post-war, the SSR evolved into SHIELD, which reestablished Project ARC. 

An expedition team was assembled under the leadership of level 7 SHIELD Agents. The expedition was supposed to have six waves, but second half of the expedition was lost during the transport, because of an energy overload which occured in monolith lab. The project was halted, and the Monolith was locked away as contact with the remaining team was lost.

First Moments on a New Planet (1660-1748 - New Timeline)

The surviving expedition members started building habitats and exploring their new environment with limited resources. They laid the foundation for what would one day become the Denebolian Republic and it's allies.

First Civilian War (1748-1800 - N.T.)

Disagreements led to the first civil war, dividing the society into factions led by each of the three SHIELD agents. The SHIELD loyalists stayed at the original landing site, while the other two factions moved east.

The New Berk City Era (1800-1940 - N.T.)

Post-war, the Denebolian society sort of prospered, building New Berk City. The technology level of New Berk civilization in this era was matched with Earth's 2000s (40% at tech scale). New Berk City was builded on original terrain, using raliroad as a main type of transportation. In 1935 N.T. we found a piece of advanced technology, which started the project T.E.R.A. (Terrigen Research - Augmentation) and T.A.P. (Technology Assimilation Project). The research of found technology accelerated our technological level, but only by few steps at the time. In nearly a decade a tech level was matching Earth's 2010s.

The Fall of New Berk City (1940-1946 - N.T.)

The Fall of New Berk City was caused by a two main reasons. First, a minor war betweern New Berk City and nearby settlement formed by one of the original agents. Second, most influencing reason were natural disasters. Unprecedented climate changes started an domino effect in planetary stable climate. Tsunamis, hurricanes and other mights of mother nature decimated New Berk City landscape and most of it's buildings. When the natural disaster crisis the pople of New Berk City declared a new nation - Star City Empire, this unfortunately led to more people separating to create their own society.

Birth of the Star City Empire (1946-2000 - N.T.)

With new oportunity to repbuild our capital city, we gained a new technology and knowledge about our neighbourhood. Star City's leadership focused on city rebuilding and expanding social, architectural and technological options of Star City's nation. This was era of great scientific advancement and in this era we reached similar technology level as it was on Earth in 2000s. When citizens of Star City were satisfied with partial city reconstruction, they started to explore far lands.

Colonial Era (2000-2016 - N.T.)

We established our new and first colony. We concetrate our sources and knowledge for establishing a new colony. Meantime at home in Star City a big political disagreement started and we did not see a new enemy spreading its roots along us. When we discovered something is hapening we concentrate to a homeland situation again and left the colony to their leaders.

Hydra Great War (2017 .N.T.)

They lived among us. The called themselves our friends. We did not se the threat, we did not see one of our greatest enemy. We were surprised of declaring war on us by Hydra. It was hard to find out who is friend or foe.

The entire empire disintegrated, some areas holed by Hydra and less of the areas holed by Shield. Hydra used every military equipment they had and tried to destroy us, to destroy SHIELD. But we fought back, we withdrawed our forces from colony and reinforced our troops in war on our homeland.

Unfortunatelly with this desicion we opened gate to evil barbarians who attacked colony. Colony inhabitans blamed us for abandoning their colony and their home. The war was raging on and national unrest was rising. It looked like we'll lose this war. With all bad luck we had we didn't expect an attack from part of our former colony. They attacked one of our most fortified base - Alfa site. Alfa site located on colonial border far from fights on west part of Star City. Alfa was our last hope or point of last stand. It was builded before establishing colony and it's in service till today.

Part of colony's militia thought it's suspicious to have such force so far from front line and attacked Alfa site as preventive strike and planned to siege it and harvest the base's supplies. We didn't have any reliable intel in our colony so Shield was surprised by this attack. Fortunately we managed to repel the enemy forces with some minor damages and with no causalities. This event was the first sign for SHIELD to start an intelligence network even in our colony. So far this minor victory against side enemy wasn't a big thing at all and didn't much change a course of war with Hydra.

But SHIELD scientists finally made a breakthrough in found technology research. They implemented an advanced technology to our weapons, defend systems and power systems. Finally we started winning. After days of brutal fighting and many causalities on both sides, Hydra decided to bomb civilan facility. With this act, some of their loyalist decided to surrender to SHIELD. Hydra was almost defeated. In colony, our new intelligence network discovered who is responsible for attack on Alfa site. Turns out that Hydra was conspiring against shield in colony and tried to disturb intense relations between Star City and it's colony.

After a while, all Hydra forces has been defeated and we started to focus on happenings in our former colony. Arround this time some citizens of colony started to arrive to Alfa site again. But this time it wasn't to attack the base, but to seek help and shelter from barbarians. We find out the colony was currently at the edge of collapse. Colony was divided by their so called leader and half of colony's citizens took shelter in former colony base Sanctuary and other half ran to Alfa site. Hestiate at first, our leaders decided to help the citizens in Alfa site and even to help the entire colony, by mobilisating all military branches and sending them to colony's last stand - Sanctuary.

Some of colony's citizens wanted to help so we armed them a took them with us. We managed to get to the Sanctuary in last minute and change the outcome of battle. We have won the battle and stabilised colony's borders. At this time all military forces has been removed from colony once again, but this time we kept communicating with colony's leaders and military to keep stability and partial security of colony. The war basically ended. We started to negotiate with Hydra state about borders and terms of surrender. 

Eastern Colony's Independence and Birth of the Denebolian Nation (2018 - N.T.)

After signing a peace treaty, we helped colony to rebuild their home, but it was not enough to undone our desicion to leave them. On the other hand our people didn't forget about the surprise attack on Alfa site. The Star City and SHIELD leadership decided to grant a independence to colony and we recignized them as solid and sovereign nation - Kingdom of Arnor.

We realised our government structure and the organization of SHIELD was badly damaged due to war and winning the won´t change that. We decide to restructuralise our nation and our SHIELD. SHIELD and civilian population decided to establish new nation - Denebol. SHIELD saw a full potential of cooperation with civilan organizations and companies. We started to trade with our neighbours and we started to evolve in technology. Also in this time we made a contact with an alien nation - Amaurëa. After some minor war, we didn't join, we worked on improving our relations. We learn that "when we become a part of somethin bigger, we can accomplish anything". So we offered our neighbours to join a Denebolian accord and form an alliance.

Denebolian Accord Era (2019 - N.T.)

Denebol was still ruled by SHIELD, but also the civilian parts of the government were created. Denebol was focusing on international trade, civil rights and world peace and prosperity. Due to civilian parts of the government, International oversight advisory (IOA) was founded for monitoring and sponsoring military actions of Denebolian SHIELD. Denebol was most advanced nation at the planet Panthalassa (Denebol 4 at that time). Denebol had established facilities on three more planets Aurorium (Denebol 1) and Luminae (Denebol 7) in the same solar system. Third planet is Pattera, located on a planet 50ly away colonized through old Stargate.

Start of a Cold War Era (2020 - N.T.)

First contact with the Ingerdimnär occurred during an exploratory mission, leading to a skirmish that escalated into unprovoked attacks by the Ingerdimnär. Denebolian outposts and research stations were targeted, marking the start of the Cold War. SHIELD's intelligence and counter-espionage operations were critical in mitigating threats and securing Denebolian interests.

Intensifying Conflict and Democratic Era (early 2021 - N.T.)

Hostilities intensified as Denebol implemented strategic defense measures. Key operations included the Battle of Oblio Sector and the D45-114 Incident, where SHIELD dismantled an Ingerdimnär spy ring. Diplomatic efforts, including the Draconis Mediation, sought to find peaceful resolutions but only achieved temporary ceasefires. The year 2021 saw an escalation of hostilities between the Denebol and the Ingerdimnär, with both sides ramping up efforts to gain strategic advantages.

After recent war related events the civiliancs demanded more authonomy in Denebolian governance. New civilian reform was enacted, which laid foundations of Denebolian civil government. Denebol changed name to Denebolian republic and SHIELD lost it's rulership. First democratic elections won Mr. James Wilson, who became a president of Denebolian republic for next 4 years.

With establishment of civilian government, SHIELD became only military branche within Denebolian armed forces. SHIELD was placed on side track as DASF - Denebolian Air & Space Force (later evolved into STARS). DASF started the construction of DIUSS (Denebolian International United Space Station) proving it's importance in future of nation which is about to become an interstellar civilization. DASF operated only small scale fleet of SHIELD Zephyr class spacecraft. Thanks to research breakthroughs made in Great War and later on, our technology advanced at exceptional rate. 

New civilian government issued ban on a fossil fuel powered engines and generators. We focused on rebuilding Denebolian infrastructure to new sources with no evniromental poisoning. For personal transportation we used hovercrafts, personal transporters, subway, hyperloop or aircrafts. Technological revolution and implementation of advanced technology to Denebolian infrastructure slowed down production of spacecrafts.

Thanks to more global way of thinking, we offered an G.U.A.R.D. (Government Utility Authority - Reinforce Division) initiative, which would serve as peace-protection organization with international and interstellar jursidiction. GUARD would be completely free of influence from any nations. GUARD organization would be led by high council, which would decide of GUARD's actions and entire organization would serve as unbiased side in conflicts and prioritizing peace solutions. Unexpectedly, this offer sparked huge debate and unfortunatelly destabilized political situation in The Kingdom of Arnor. Reluctant at first, Arnorians joined the GUARD initiative, but it was more than obvious that is gonna have major repercussions. Arnorian government granted, that GUARD initiative together with other internal matters brought major political dispute and caused reestablishment of political parties, further destabilizating political situation in Arnor. Denebolian government was closely watching the situation in Arnor. Shortly after Denebolian SHIELD obtained and delivered information about sub-dimension powered technology to Denebolian government representatives, which were obligated to release such information to public. These events sparked series of events, which will for ever be known as Arnorian Crisis.

Arnorian Crisis Era (late 2021 - N.T.)

When the information about Arnorian sub-dimension powered technology and it's consequences reached Denebolian republic, citizens viewed it as and outrage. Such endangering our entire universe and without international supervision at least was by denebolian citizens understood as a treachery against Denebolian Accord. Reaction with demands for explaining undergone actions was neccessary.

Unfortunatly, endangering the entire universe was not the only outrage. The Kingdom of Arnor according first observations and reports started to visit other planets and confronting local populations. Such reports stated that in some cases situation reminded slavery and unjustified murders of innocent poeple who just sounded their opinion. Also there were some instances of unlawful installation of new form of government in foreign nations. For denebolian citizens and government especially was feeding new goddes not enough justifying reason to invade other planets and convert local population or slaughter them if they responded with rejection.

Response from our government was fast and unexpected by Arnorian leaders. Denebolian republic issued immidiate complete embargo on all ongoing cooperation and trade. Borders with Kingdom of Arnor were closed and Arnorian citizens present in Denebolian territorry were ordered martial law, until the situation is explained and resolved. Aronrian government did not expected this reaction, mainly because of their importance in ongoing war. 

Arnorian economy was heavily damaged due to complete embargo and it ultimately forced Arnorian government to agree on a meeting with all three leaders of Denebolian Accord. Fortunately after long negotiations and explanations the deal was finally made. Arnor was forced to leave all planets founded as too much primitive to be influenced by Arnor's technology level. Arnor was allowed to keep contact and influence on worlds, where their presence eased the situation, raised a living stability of the locals or where was their presence allowed by local representatives and population in general.

The government of Kingdom of Arnor had to agree with oversighting comittee, which has to allow the such nation's presence within Arnorian sphere of influence. These nations wre allowed to keep diplomatic relations and were later proclaimed as protectorates of Kingdom of Arnor. All newly discovered planets which are included within parameters of Influence directive or Prime directive has to be reported to the leaders of Denebolian Alliance immidiately. The Kingdom of Arnor is allowed to spread it's faith in peaceful manner and only to those who will listen.

Aftermath of Arnorian crisis & Stellar Exploration Era (early 2022 N.T.)

Trust between Arnor and Denebolian republic was weakened due to recent events. However Denebolian republic was more focused at this time to internal and interstellar matters. Denebolian Air & Space Force (DASF) currently only focusing on our foe in Cold War, brought some attention from our government after partial completion and partial habitation of Denebolian International United Space Station (D.I.U.S.S.). Denebolian government decided it is time for us to seek new civilizations and exploring the universe in hope of establishing new friendships and alliances. DASF was to undergo more restructuralization and to become new organization - S.T.A.R.S. (Strategic Taskforce for Alien Response and Security). Denebolian government started funding new spaceship factories and built massive spaceship fleet in very short time period. Interstellar diplomatic relations, interstellar exploration and expansion became first priority in Denebolian republic.

Benefits of traveling to the stars conclude new diplomatic relations and allies. Denebolian republic encountered several nations from other worlds and established several alliances and trade treaties in relatively short timespan. Most notable nations, now allied with Denebolian republic and reached by stellar exploration are The Tuatha Dé Danann and The Gori Merchant Fleet. Third allied notable nation, however reached by Stargate, is The Eskana people. Other nations are members of trade treaties, which were sometimes called as protection treaties, because only form of trade treaty at this time includes full defensive protection of all members by Denebolian republic. The alliances and trade treaties brought an boost to Denebolian economy and caused influx of alien visitors and introduced Denebolian republic to the interstellar political stage.

Changes and developement did not exclude Denebol Prime. New urbanization projects has been ratified such as trade supporting reforms and policies. Denebol experienced urban and population boom, which was caused by influx of foreign citizens which choosed to stay in Denebolian republic.

As a inevitible consequence Kingdom of Arnor was struck with sanctions by Denebolian government under the terms of Denebolian Accord. Government of Arnor refused to pay the sanctions and situation threatened to be escalated into major conflict between our nations. During spark debate resulted in ultimatum for Arnorian government to pay the sanctions or face the consequences, which could be devastating to both sides.

Unexpected joining of Eldar diplomatic delegation eased the tension between our two nations. Through right arguments and skillfull diplomation Arnor agreed to pay the sanctions.

However the official diplomatic relations with Kingdom of Arnor was improving due to settling uneasy situation, the government of Denebolian republic remained concerned about political stability in Kingdom of Arnor. Although it is an internal matter of Arnor, Denebolian government was preparing for possible future changes in Arnorian leadership. Martial law for Arnorian citizen on denebolian soil was lifted an so the trade embargo. Nevertheless embargoes on other cooperations remained due to concerns about previously mentioned political stability in Arnor.

Denebolian government started investigation about Arnorian terrorist group led by Ar-Adunaim who is considered to be international criminal in Denebolian republic. Denebolian security services started to investigate the connections of terrorist group with some Arnorian government representatives and those which has been convicted of such contact are wanted for violations of international law. However Arnorian government is refusing their aprehending and such action is considered as low level security threat for now.

Fortunatelly after some days and months Arnorian King slowly reclaimed some of his former influence and situation appeared to be stabilizing. Finally relations between our two nations began to heal and grow stronger again.

Cold war continues (late 2022 N.T.)

Denebol fortified its defenses in war in Ingerdimnär and invested in technological innovations. Operation Iron Shield and the Battle of Vortex Station were pivotal in disrupting Ingerdimnär logistics and securing Denebolian positions. Diplomatic maneuvers and alliances strengthened Denebolian security. Enhanced defensive measures included fortified outposts and advanced surveillance. 

International stabilization Era & Offensive strategy in Cold war (early 2023 - N.T.)

Shifting to an offensive strategy, Denebol launched preemptive strikes and coordinated campaigns to reclaim lost territories. Operation Phoenix Rising and the Siege of La'Grie Outpost were significant victories. SHIELD's Operation Silent Storm targeted high-ranking Ingerdimnär officials, destabilizing their command structure. This strategic shift aimed to neutralize persistent threats and secure long-term stability.

The Denebolian Republic extends its sincere appreciation for the recent restoration of amicable relations with The Kingdoms of Arnor. Following the resolution of the Arnorian crisis, sanctions and security measures have been lifted, signifying a return to peaceful cooperation within the framework of the Denebolian Accord.

While some concerns persist regarding certain actions taken by Arnorian authorities, including involvement in foreign civil conflicts, the Denebolian government acknowledges the importance of maintaining open channels of dialogue and cooperation. The Governmental Utility Authority, Reinforce Division (G.U.A.R.D.) is diligently investigating these matters to ensure the continued security and stability of our international community. As we move forward, the Denebolian Republic remains committed to fostering mutual respect and understanding between our nations. 

The Ciris and it's aftermath (late 2023 - N.T.)

In light of the recent energy generator malfunction in Annuminas, the largest city in Arnor, the Denebolian armed forces swiftly mobilized to provide assistance to our allies. The resulting battle inflicted significant destruction, and the aftermath has been nothing short of disastrous. Our hearts go out to the families of the fallen war heroes from both Arnor and Denebol.

While our own forces suffered losses, they were not on the same scale as those faced by the Arnorian nation. Nevertheless, the Denebolian government remains committed to aiding in the restoration of stability to Arnor's power generators and the broader region.

In response to these unfortunate events, the Denebolian government calls for an urgent meeting of leaders from all Denebolian Accord member states. Representatives from various government branches are expected to attend this crucial gathering. The venue will be the G.U.A.R.D. HQ building, chosen for its capacity and security.

The agenda for this meeting is twofold:

1. Future Cooperation: Discussions will center around unprecedented collaboration among our governments across all structures.
2. The Ciris Disaster and Current Actions: We will delve into the specifics of the disaster and the actions taken by our governments.

This meeting holds immense significance. It will shape the fate of the Denebolian Accord alliance and all future collaborations, both domestically and on the international stage. We anticipate strong reactions, both in favor and against, as we chart a course toward stability and cooperation. The aproximate date of this meeting is scheduled later of year 2024.

Present - Interstellar Center Era (Early 2024 - N.T.)

As the Denebolian Republic charted its course toward becoming the Interstellar Center of the galaxy, a remarkable phenomenon unfolded within its borders. Inhabitants from other worlds, drawn by the promise of opportunity and the allure of cultural exchange, chose to make Denebolian Republic their new home.

This influx of interstellar migrants brought with it a wealth of diversity, enriching the tapestry of Denebolian society with a myriad of customs, traditions, and perspectives. As neighborhoods buzzed with the chatter of different languages and markets overflowed with exotic goods, the spirit of cosmopolitanism flourished in the streets of Denebol Prime.

Economically, this interstellar migration proved to be a boon for the Republic. The infusion of new ideas and talents sparked innovation and entrepreneurship, driving growth in key sectors of the economy. Trade flourished as Denebol became a magnet for interstellar commerce, attracting merchants and investors from far-flung corners of the galaxy.

Culturally, the blending of traditions and customs gave rise to a vibrant tapestry of art, cuisine, and entertainment. Festivals celebrating the diversity of Denebolian society became annual highlights, drawing crowds from across the galaxy to partake in the revelry and camaraderie.

Amidst these developments, the government of Denebol remained committed to fostering an inclusive and harmonious society. Policies were enacted to ensure equal rights and opportunities for all inhabitants, regardless of their planetary origins. Interstellar relations were strengthened through diplomatic outreach and cooperation, solidifying Denebol's reputation as a beacon of unity and tolerance in the galaxy.

However, amidst the excitement of Denebol's transformation into an Interstellar Center, the specter of the cold war loomed on the horizon. Intelligence reports indicated that the rival power, Ingerdimnär, was preparing for escalation, prompting Denebolian authorities to raise security measures across installations and settlements.

In response to the escalating tensions, Denebol began preparing for joint military exercises with allied nations, bolstering its defenses and readiness for any potential conflict. Despite the challenges posed by the cold war's resurgence, the Denebolian Republic remained steadfast in its commitment to peace, stability, and progress in the galaxy.

First international exploration mission was announced. The Galactic Pathfinder mission is to explore uncharted parts of the galaxy, establish new trade and diplomacy relations, supply allied planets and other interstellar instalations and lastly to fortify and expand border with Ingerdimnär.

Unfortunately it was too late for this excercises, as Ingerdimnär launched an suprise attack on civlian convoy. Civilian convoy was attacked near one of the planets under control of Orbitum Accord. Ingerdimnär obtained a denebolian cloak technology, what with combination of numerical superiority gave them upper hand in this battle. Civilian ships and all military vessels from Denebolian republic and Arnor were destroyed. This tragic event is marked with unfortunate but brave and strong fate of captain of DSS Vanguard - Elia Thorne, who was forced to witness brutal death of her crew and then executed by Ingerdimnär boarding party. After her death and shortly before self-destruct of DSS Vanguard, the Ingerdimnär boarding party got their hand on Denebolian shielding technology, which implementation into Ingerdimnär technology could prove as turning point in Cold War.

After this tragic action, president James Wilson shortly before new presidential elections announced declaration of all out war with Ingerdimnär marking a start of new dark era for Denebolian republic and it's allies. President also sanctioned STARS military operation tasked to find stolen technology and destroy it, before Ingerdimnär scientists gets their hands on it. Two denebolian ships were deployed for the operation as bigger part of the fleet is on Galactic Pathfinder mission.

According to last communications, the operation was succesful, but due to damage caused by battle, the ships still did not come back yet. During this operation, second round of presidential elections ended with winner Lt. Col. Samantha Carter, Ph.D. Carter will take the office of the president at the end of June 2024. Until then, current president Wilson and all citizens patiently awaits the return of two ships.
