"They do not conquer with armies alone. They conquer with debt, with chains, and with the silence of worlds already sold." — SHIELD Intelligence Report

Basic informations
The war with Denebol continues, and though military victories have weakened them, their corporations remain entrenched and rooted across the stars. As long as profit drives them, the Ingerdimnär will not stop.
Diplomacy
The Ingerdimnär's diplomacy is a weaponized extension of their trade empire, varying based on the strength of their opponents:
Against weaker civilizations
They impose submission, forcing vassalage through military raids, resource extraction, or environmental threats. Entire planets are reduced to suppliers and slave markets.
Against equals
They weave economic dependency — buying estates, offering bribes, trade deals, and favorable arrangements — until they own nearly everything. If the civilization dares to resist at that point, it is already too late: the Ingerdimnär launch open conflict against whatever remains free. If resisted outright from the beginning, they declare war immediately.
Against stronger civilizations
They attack outright, seeking to steal advanced technology, strip developed worlds, and reverse-engineer what they cannot create themselves.
Relations with Major Powers
Denebolian Republic: Hostile. First contact led to immediate conflict when Denebol refused to hand over technology. Cold war after that until 2021, when conflict escalated into full scale war.
High Kingdom of Arnor: No direct diplomacy. Their alliance with Denebol makes them enemies by extension.
Other Civilizations: Treated purely as opportunities for profit or conquest.
Technology
The Ingerdimnär's technology is ancient at its core, dating back to Praetoria, but has stagnated. They rarely innovate, but excel at reverse-engineering stolen technology.
Key Characteristics:
Plasma Utilization: Their primary energy base is plasma technology, widely applied across weaponry and infrastructure.
Reverse Engineering: Stolen tech is quickly adapted for their purposes, though rarely improved upon.
Slave Labor Economy: Much of their infrastructure and fleets are maintained by enslaved populations.
Outdated Core Systems: Many corporate states still operate centuries-old designs, only patched together with scavenged innovations.
This mix of stagnation and theft makes them unpredictable opponents — often technologically mismatched, yet still dangerous.
Culture
The people of the Ingerdimnär, known as Inners, are humanoid beings genetically altered millenia ago. Pollution, radiation, and repeated modifications further twisted their form and their society.
Profit Above All: Inners see planets, people, and ecosystems as nothing but resources to exploit. Environmental ruin is common across their territories.
Corporate Oligarchy: Their empire is not a unified government, but a vast federation of competing corporations, cartels, and dynastic guilds. Governance differs wildly between regions.
Oppressive Legacy: They inherited the authoritarian instincts of Praetoria, blending them with ruthless market exploitation.
History
Ancient Roots (far in the past)
It is speculated — though never confirmed — that the Ingerdimnär rose from the ashes of Praetoria, the ancient empire whose fall birthed multiple successor states, like Fifth Praetorian Belt (speculated). Unlike others, the Ingerdimnär did not rebuild through innovation, but through trade monopolies, exploitation, and genetic manipulation.
First Contact (early 2020 N.T.)
Denebolian explorers encountered an Ingerdimnär scout ship. Initial exchanges quickly turned hostile when the Ingerdimnär demanded all technological findings be surrendered. When refused, the scout attacked, sparking the first clashes.
Cold War and Espionage (late 2021 N.T.)
Ingerminär launched several attacks on Denebolian supply convoys and colonies. They also launched extensive espionage attemps, including the D45-114 incident, where SHIELD dismantled deep spy ring. Multiple peace resolutions were attempted from DA member state, but Ingerdimnär never responded differently than demanding unconditional access to Denebolian technology, planets and its people.
Intensification of Conflict (2022 N.T.)
First larger skirmishes started to appear. First of them took place in Oblio Sector, where Denebolian STARS ships repelled large Ingerdimnär assault fleet, later discovered to be planned to be the start of big interplanetary campaign. To prevent or slow Ingerdimnär efforts to launch such operation again, SHIELD preemptively struck Ingerdimnär logistics planets near the border. Then first big bloody space and ground battle took place at Vortex station, critical research hub for dangerous technologies at the edge of DA controlled space - the station was succesfully defended.
Strategic Offensives (2023 N.T.)
DA military leadership decided it is time to launch direct offensive strategies. First such operation, called Operation Phoenix Rising, shattered several Ingerdimnär supply chains. Denebolian fortification outpost on La'Grie repelled several massive attacks. Succesfully executed Operation Silent Storm aimed to eliminate several high-ranking officials in nearest Ingerdimnär corporate and thus destabilizing their local command structure.
Espionage reconsideration (2024 N.T.)
Reports from SHIELD clearly showed the complex structure of Ingerdimnär and wild differences in governance between neighbouring sectors of space. This is the first time DA leadership realized that Ingerdimnär is and will be formidable enemy for many years to come. It became entirely clear that DA needs a strategy to either compete with each Ingerdimnär corporates one by one or a strategy to somehow engage entire empire. Also some SHIELD reports indicated unsettling news that Ingerdimnär is planning to utilize sub-dimension technology trough experimentation on Arnorian terrorist considered group (only by Denebolian Republic). DSS Xenon was immideately dispatched to confirm such news, but unfortunately the ship vanished. SHIELD reports did not indicate that the ship was destroyed or captured, it just vanished and was never heard of since.
We brought new threat (2025 N.T.)
DSS Xenon appeared out of the blue at the destination of the original mission objective planet. Xenon sent distress call with preliminary report, thus confirming fear of Ingerdimnär's experimentation with subdimension to Denebolian STARS. Waiting for rescue they played dead, repairing their ship and hoping help will arrive sooner than the enemy. Unfortunately enemy fleet arrived first and dispatched recon probes to investigate the wreckage and source of the signal. Before the probe could reach the wreckage, Arnorian ground forces jumped trough subdimension to the surface of the planet as their swift and clear response to experimentation on their people. Subsequentialy managing to redirect focus of the enemy fleet and ground installations away from supposed wreckage to the surface of the planet.
Meanwhile in the orbit of the planet, SHIELD Zephyr spacecraft contacted Xenon and boarded it with STRIKE teams. STRIKE teams joined allied efforts on the planet in total destruction of the Ingerdminär installations. Unbeknownst to allies, SHIELD forces with Agent Harken in the lead had different orders - retreive vital subdimensional research and technology before Arnorians detroy it. This objective was later discovered and iniated new spark of distrust between Denebolian military forces. Agent Harken was aprehended by STARS and some SHIELD loyalists and escorted to Xenon. Harken then escaped to Zephyr spacecraft and left. Meanwhile repairs of Xenon's hyperdrive engines finished and the ship prepared to leave.
On the surface Arnoian forces managed to destroy targetted facility, but suffered heavy bombardment from the enemy fleet in the orbit. Nearing collapse of the Arnorian local forcefield before they could retreat, the threat of heavy causalities was greater and greater. The Colonel Halden, commander of Xenon, ordered a single fly by with guns blazing on enemy fleet, thus redirecting enemy fleet's focus and buying time for Arnorian forces on the ground to retreat. Plan worked succesfully and both Xenon and Arnorian forces managed to escape.
Xenon report confirmed the worst fears and also brought some new with their experience of different planes of existence. It is obvious to the DA leadership that it is imperible to draft new strategies considering Ingerdimnär's knowledge and research of subdimensional technology, if they managed to share it with other facilities and corporates.
Military
Accurate numbers and structure of Ingerdimnär ground and space forces are not known to Denebolian Accord member states. Following sections about ground and space forces contains only assets, vehicles, units and ships discovered and confirmed by DA military and intelligence forces.
Summary
The Ingerdimnär embody civilizational decay through exploitation. Their vast empire survives not through creativity, but through enslavement, manipulation, and relentless profiteering.
For Denebol and Arnor, they are not just an enemy — they are a warning of what could happen if power is abused and genetic meddling runs unchecked.
